Here are few tips already:
1. If you copy and paste a lot, download ClipX - it will save you time as it remembers up to 1000
  previous clipboard clips you did, so you don’t have to worry about needing to go back and find
  an earlier clip you did. It saves text, pics, video, anything!
2. Backup your important files using Mozy - a free tool
3. FOr a complete copy of your PC, that you can use even if the whole computer
  is damaged or stolen, Consider buying Acronis - I have been using it for years
  and it never failed me.
4. For Anti Virus - use Avira Anti Virus - it has a free edition and catches most
